The app will not change the temperature of the thermostat. I have to physically use the thermostat to make a change. UPDATE to original review. I downloaded the latest version of app; to correct the previous issue. This version is worse. Now the app opens in browser mode and forces me to sign in. When I sign in I get a black screen that has "Not Found" in the upper left corner. Tech support has been very nice; but unable to resolve the issue. App is now unusable; have to use web portal.
Forgot all the ads you get for $300 Terrible. Literally a chore to change settings. No schedule button, to change daily schedule, and RUN schedule. "schedule" is buried deep in the menus. Click like 5 options to find it if you can. Then it's a home, away, and sleep schedule. So you have to build one for every single event. Do this every night, but not these nights, This on these days but not those days. Rather than just say Mon-Fri do this during day and this at night. Sat_Sun do this.
Ecobee is great @ home in USA, however, it gives me trouble when travelling out of country. The app blacks out. I have uninstall, reinstall, and sometimes it works, sometimes not. Recent trip - checking house temp and found it low 48F/9C inside house. When it dropped to 42F, I got an alert msg which was great. BUT, I could NOT get the app to stay stable enough to figure out why. My vacation low setting was 62F. I live in the Upper Midwest - having your house not freeze is pretty important.k
