Capital Manchester is a local radio station that broadcasts from its headquarters in Spinningfields, Manchester. This station is owned and operated by Global Radio and is part of the Capital radio network. Capital Manchester's transmitter is on top of the City Tower in Piccadilly, Manchester, just as like XS Manchester and Radio X's transmitter.\nThe 102 MHz frequency in Manchester was initially used by Sunset 102. Then, Faze Fm won the licence and launched Kiss 102 on 16 October 1994. When Global Radio's Galaxy and Hit Music networks merged to form the nine-station Capital network, the station was rebranded as Capital on 3 January 2011. In April 2019 after a merge with 2BR in East and Central Lancashire, Capital Manchester and Lancashire was born.
