Code Window Description

Code Window is a simple wrapper for code-server on Termux.

This does NOT install Visual Studio Code on your phone or tablet, you need to do that by downloading Termux, installing proot-distro ubuntu then following the coder instructions for installing code-server itself.

It expects code-server to be on localhost port 8080, we will be adding an option to configure this.

So what is this app for? Rather than pinning code-server as a PWA, you can use it as a proper app, with all the benefits that come with that, such as sizing on the screen correctly and proper multi-window support.

What is an XAPK file, and what should I do if the Code Window I downloaded is an XAPK file?

A file with .xapk extension is a compressed package file. It is a container file format that incorporates APK and additional associated files required for the installation. The XAPK format was introduced to package the APK file and OBB file together for a seamless delivery and installation process. XAPK format can help reduce the package size of application. But on PC client, you just need to put the file on LDPlayer.

Can I play Code Window on my computer?

Yes, you can play Code Window on your computer by installing LDPlayer, an Android emulator. After installing LDPlayer, simply drag and drop the downloaded APK file into the emulator to start playing Code Window on PC. Alternatively, you can open the emulator, search for the game or app you want to play, and install it from there.
