Monochron – 3D Puzzle Clock Description
A unique 3D puzzle clock where each digit is formed using puzzle principles, and every number change is executed with realistic motion.
Monochron is a clock made from three-dimensional puzzles, whose colors have been reduced to black and white. It is a journey into the exploration of the expressive possibilities of the structural grids of these puzzles, where each digit is the best version of itself, achieved with the minimal means of the puzzle tiles and their transformations.
As a result, the digits take on peculiar and eccentric shapes while remaining legible.
The cubes have three black and three white sides. Every transition is executed with integrity and can be physically replicated on a real cube, adding to the uniqueness of both the concept and its execution.
Idea and design — Max Shtok
Algorithms and development — Basil Kotov
Features:
• Black-on-white and white-on-black cube modes
• Light or dark background options
• Vertical or horizontal orientation with clever transitions
• Always fullscreen — the screen remains unlocked, and all system elements are hidden while the app is open
• More puzzle shapes coming soon, including Pyraminx and Octahedron
