Plum Blossom Divination Professional Course ( Mei Hua Xin Yi 梅花心易 Plum Blossom Divination ), by Master Joseph Yu, is a fascinating method to receive a message from the Universe about human affairs using the 64 Hexagrams of the Yi Jing 易經 (The Book of Changes).

Plum Blossom Divination was invented by Shao Yong 邵雍 (1011–1077 BC) and the story goes like this:
One afternoon, Shao Yong was sleepy after spending many hours studying the Yi Jing Hexagrams.
He was very disturbed by a mouse that ran and squealed in the room.
Shao Yong took his porcelain pillow and threw it at the mouse. It didn't hit the mouse but it did break its porcelain pillow.
When he picked up the broken pieces of the pillow, to his great surprise, he found a piece of paper with some words written on it:
"This pillow will break because of a mouse"
Shao Yong was shocked, picked up the broken pieces of the pillow and went to the shop where he bought it and asked the shop owner who made this pillow.
The shop owner said it was made by his father who just passed away.
Shao Yong was disappointed and was about to leave, when suddenly, the shop owner remembered something and said to him:
"My father mentioned that if one day a scholar asked about the pillow, I should give him this book."
He took out a book and handed it to Shao Yong.
Shao Yong took the book from the young man and happily returned home and began to study it immediately.
On the last page of the book was written a note telling him to use the method he learned to divine something the shop owner should do.
Shao Yong performed the Divination, returned to the shop, and told the young man to dig a 3 feet deep hole in the Southwest corner at the back of his garden.
The young man did as Shao Yong told him and found a container filled with gold coins.
