I was looking for some app that would allow me to use my phone or tablet as a field monitor. I came across this app in that search. It isn't quite a field monitor, but it is way better for my purposes. I wanted a tethered cable app to control my camera and to be able to see what I was setting up to photograph. My eyes are not what they used to be and the small screen on my camera and also the viewfinder image are too small for me to get my focus correct. It does all this and more. Very happy.

It actually works with my EOS 100D, unfortunately it doesn't with EOS 6D mkII (but it's not supported so it's obvious). I'm willing to use it as a intervalometer to time lapse - I've tried with some cheap cables but never got good results. This small app seems to work flawless and thanks to it I can try with my old camera instead of tossing money on new one £10 is better deal than £1000 for second body. Fortunately I already have cable and it works on my old phone so it seems like a bargain.

Seemed to disconnect more often than the Nikon WMU. Has tons of features but many are locked (only in full version), the screenshots may lead you to thinking that they come with the free version. Couldn't turn off touch AF so every time I would pinch-zoom the camera would re-focus. Looks like it's abandoned, last update 2 years ago. The adds shown covered only a small portion of the screen. Ended up uninstalling it, still looking for a DSLR app. I used this with wifi not USB.
