I need to constantly "forget" and "pair" my Drive 5 to make it accept Smartphone Link. Aside from Live Traffic the app provides no additional value on top of the hardware device. And since the quality of the live traffic updates is incredibly poor, it didn't even know of multiple temporarily or permanently closed roads I ran into just today, the benefit is effectivity zero. Note: I updated the maps of my Drive 5 a few days ago. And then these pesky in-background notifications you can't turn off.

App works decently if you can get it to work at all. Most of the time trying to establish a Bluetooth connection is a chore. I've tried three different devices this year and none can establish a link to the Garmin Navigator via this app without fumbling and retrying for at least 15 Minutes each time. Not worth it, just buy a Navigator that comes with all the functionalty this app is supposed to deliver pre-installed.

It can't handle coordinates but seemingly only addresses, which is ridiculous for a GPS app in a WGS84 world. It does not play well with just about any other geo app. It fails loading useful map detail levels if you give up and use the in-app map. And of course "old" (over a year in Garmin speak) devices can't use their new soft. While this is abandonware.
