After updating the app, when I open it I just see a background (a woman sitting on a chair) and nothing else. No button or any other items I used to see in the past versions. Update: The problem previous solved. And aslo today I used this app in a real situation when I was in danger to get help, and it was so helpful and good. I hope it keeps getting better and better because this app is a real must have...
The app previously respected and used the set default calling app for emergency calling. Now it defaults to use the system default calling app which attempts to use the sim card for dialing. This doesn't work for devices using data only plans. Attempting to contact Google support about this issue resulted in them telling me it was an issue with my carrier...
So when I am unconscious the emergency services can't reach any relevant data (quite literally life saving in my case as I suffer anaphylaxis from most major antibiotics) because they need to log in to the app. Whereas I used to store all this pertinent information on the phone which could be accessed from a locked screen so no one got to see the other personal stuff. And why does it need access to all those places other apps don't go?
