All in all, I like the idea of this app. Much of the content is quite informative, but I do not trust the watering schedules any longer. So, pre-app, I had this gorgeous African violet that was growing more vigorously than any I'd ever had before, and it bloomed like mad. Fabulous. But the app had me watering it every few days instead of only when it was dry, and now it is an anemic little plant with rotting leaves that never blooms at all. I am worried that I'm going to lose it soon.
Not sure how I feel about it as a whole just yet it's got pros and cons. The light meter is a bit off I think but my main annoyance is the app doesn't work without wifi. I went to the plant store to pick plants best suited for my space using the app but couldn't because it lost connection. Update. App told me to water certain plants every day. Ended up over watering them and they died. Check the frequency and it says water every 7 days but reminders are still saying 1 and won't change.
I want to love and would be happy to pay for this app, which has helped me diagnose and treat some plant issues. But I can't find a way to indicate that I've done care, such as watering, off schedule, such as in a heat wave when things dry out faster. That's a massive oversight in such a detailed app. I don't think I can justify paying for it without this vital feature.
