Programming Hub: Learn to code Description

Learn to code with Programming Hub, a Google Play Editors' Choice app trusted by 10 million+ learners.

Bite-sized coding courses, 5000+ ready-to-run programs, and a compiler that runs your code on your phone. Writing your first line of code or preparing for a technical interview, you can learn programming at your own pace, online or offline.

Programming Languages Covered:

👨‍💻 Python - Learn Python 3 from scratch. This Python coding app carries you from your first Python program to data analysis, automation and Python interview questions. Run every Python exercise in the compiler, no laptop required. Python remains the most common starting point for anyone new to programming.

👨‍💻 Java - Java powers Android apps, enterprise backends and big data. Learn Java syntax, object-oriented programming and real projects written in Java, then run Java in the compiler. Java is a strong second language for coding interviews.

👨‍💻 Artificial Intelligence - Understand AI, machine learning and gen AI foundations. This artificial intelligence course explains how AI models are built, trained and prompted, and where gen AI belongs in a modern coding workflow. Prompt engineering and artificial intelligence tooling are covered end to end, so artificial intelligence stops being a black box.

👨‍💻 C - C is the clearest first step into systems programming, and the language most computer science courses begin with. Learn C pointers, memory and structs, and read C code that ships in production.

👨‍💻 C++ - C++ runs game engines, compilers and high-performance software. Learn C++ from basics through STL, and see how C++ builds on C.

👨‍💻 C# - C# is the language behind Unity games and .NET applications. Master C# classes, LINQ and async, and run C# code in the compiler.

👨‍💻 JavaScript - JavaScript is the programming language of every browser. Learn JavaScript with HTML and CSS, then use JavaScript to build for the web.

👨‍💻 SQL - Learn SQL and query databases. Every backend and data role expects SQL, and SQL is the quickest skill here to put to work.

Also included: R, Swift, Kotlin and Linux Shell Scripting, in one coding app.

APP FEATURES

🚀 Programming courses - interactive, bite-sized lessons created in collaboration with Google experts. Learn programming concepts through illustrations instead of walls of text.

🚀 Compiler - a built-in compiler that runs 20+ programming languages on your phone. Write code, tap run, read your code output. The compiler needs no setup and no laptop, so you can practise coding anywhere. Python, Java, C, C++ and C# all compile in the same compiler.

🚀 5000+ coding examples - one of the largest libraries of pre-compiled programs with output, spanning 100+ languages, for daily coding practice.

🚀 Interview preparation - work through the coding questions that come up in real programming interviews.

🚀 Certificate - finish a course, earn a coding certificate, and share it on LinkedIn or your resume.

🚀 Offline learning - download lessons and keep learning to code without a network, so your coding practice never has to stop.

🚀 Gen AI help, stuck on a bug? - Get a gen AI explanation of what your code is doing and why.

Comments about Programming Hub: Learn to code Android Version

This app was pleasantly light-hearted with a slightly humorous overtone, which made learning fun and interesting. The list of available courses was very expansive and included all the more recent trending Hot Topic coding areas. The one and only thing that I find lacking is a lack of a back button to back up to the previous page or pages. Not having that ability to back up to previous pages I found at some parts very annoying for re-review so I would include a back button in future releases.
This app was confusing at first, but it does help you learn. You need to find some simple courses before you can move on to the complicated stuff, but note that the best experience comes with the pro membership. Note; If your pro membership dissapears for whatever reason, you can send them your receipt or, for me, opening and closing the app a few times works as well.
I only just started to dabble with the app. However, I noticed one major drawback so far. I will update my review if I find a way to make it work... but for someone who is hearing impaired, there are videos in the lessons that I can not turn subtitles on for. Which makes me feel like I am missing out on some important stuff. I've looked through the settings and can not find somewhere to turn them on. As of now, other than that, I have been enjoying the apps and the courses.
