Cultura was the first FM station to be installed in the region. In a short time, the novelty became the favorite among others that emerged. Some believe that this success is due to the simplicity and objectivity of the programs, others blame these factors and the constant investment in equipment. By the way, in Cultura FM's computer laboratory, a revolutionary specific program for radios was created, "PC Rádio", today spread across several stations in Brazil. All this effort is motivated by the return obtained: the largest audience and the largest number of advertisers.
The first
The first voice that went on air that May 21, 1984 at 5:00 pm was that of Moacyr Ribeiro, general director of the station, who with great emotion inaugurated the first FM in the region. The emotion was so great that it distracted DJ Jefferson Fernandes who intended to start the first program with the song Baby by Gal Costa, but excitedly, not to say "trembling", he put on the wrong track, so we heard Eternamente, the first song.
Technique
Cultura is equipped with a 10,000 Watt Italian Elenos transmitter and 6-element antenna, delivering 30,000 Watts to the air. There is also a "spare" 1,000 Watt Telavo transmitter. In the three studios, professionals exude creativity.
Studio 1: the announcers work up a sweat and convey joy in the most vibrant programs.
Studio 2: the creative team prepares the jingles and advertising vignettes.
Studio 3: this is reserved for extra-radio recording.
