Comments about Reading mode Android Version
It's very useful, especially for reading articles when you are mulktitasking or have the screen off and have Bluetooth connected. The text conversion and site compatibility needs lots of work though. Wikipedia, for example, does not work. Many articles are cut off or end up reading the fine print on some medical ad on the page. Sometimes the play button disappears. It would be nice if it was a separate app instead of an overlay and allowed for queueing and saving converted text.
This app has great voices and the different display options are helpful. But I've really only been able to use this app for certain articles online. It doesn't work for all articles, and it doesn't work at all for document apps, communication apps, etc. It'd be great if it worked for more apps rather than only working on articles.
Generally good, requires repeated voice downloads. Overall I'm impressed with how intelligible the voices have become, despite occasional inaccuracies in prosody. One odd thing: nearly half the time I initiate reading mode I am requested to download supplemental voices. Is it because they are frequently updated and must be manually installed this way? Or is it a bug?
