i've known about retromusic for years and even purchased it in the past. it has come a long way after much experimentation! the ui is very versatile and has the best customisation i've found in a music app. it could use more functional features, like musicolet. i would love to buy the app again, but i just can't justify purchase when the tag editing doesn't work. i have to use a different app for that, which is disappointing. i would also like to be able to remove my listen history, minor gripe.

Just got into buying my favorite albums so they can have a separate space from my chaotic YouTube music library, and I get to support the artist. I went on the hunt for a nice looking music player and found this one. It's absolutely beautiful, customizable, and does everything I need it to. Not giving 5 stars because I have a few wants that aren't met like being able to change playlist album artwork. But overall this is a fantastic app you shouldn't think twice about trying.

I wanted a basic, ad-free music player that looks nice and I got it. This app works really well! Update December 2023: I cannot continue to recommend this and give it 5 stars. Since switching phones and being on Android 14, the blacklist or possibly even whitelist feature doesn't work. This is essential in how I use the app because I only want it looking in one folder for music instead of the whole phone. For that reason, I must rate it lower until this is fixed.
