Rádio Miúdos Description
Rádio Miúdos is the first radio in Portuguese for kids for kids.
It broadcasts online 24/7 since 2015 and has two channels dedicated to all Portuguese speakers around the world.
CANAL MIUDINHOS was born in early 2021 and has a program that serves children up to six years of age, parents and educators.
With the motto of autonomy, Rádio Miúdos provides children with an entertainment tool that can help them to grow as active citizens at an early age, to become more aware and tolerant.
The entire programming is carried out and produced by a team of children from 7 to 15 years old and where all the themes are chosen by themselves for their peers.
With programming and musical choice exclusively in Portuguese, the two Rádio Miúdos channels seek to occupy a global space in the dissemination of the language, among the 250 million speakers of the fifth most spoken language in the world.
Rádio Miúdos seeks to occupy a vacant space in the Portuguese-speaking world, with a global broadcast where all kids are called to participate and make their cultures known within the cultural context of Portuguese speakers.
In addition to the global radio broadcast, Rádio Miúdos is developing a project to boost radio stations in several dozen schools. The process involves the training of the entire school community – students, teachers, employees and guardians and education – in the processes of activating and training a radio in the school, as an alternative pedagogical tool.
Rádio Miúdos will launch a new platform in the year 2022, which will expand the scope of its activity and will also include the community of deaf kids in Portugal.
