SUBSTATION 6.3 – is a didactic application and a tool that can help Electricians, Automation, Electronics and Electricity Technicians, Engineers and Operators, in understanding the functioning of the various Protection and Control schemes existing in a Substation. It is a didactic and consultative application, developed for mobile devices that run on the Android platform.
The application has several functionalities and simulates the various systems belonging to the Substation, through control buttons for opening and closing circuit breaker and disconnectors, control buttons for activating schemes, such as Undervoltage Automation, which enable the simulation of automatic opening of circuit breakers in the event of undervoltage.
The application also makes it possible to simulate a defect in the circuit breaker opening coil and the consequent operation of the Circuit Breaker Opening Failure scheme, with the appropriate blocking and opening of adjacent circuit breakers, as well as enabling the simulation of substation reset interlocks in response to this type of occurrence.
The application makes it possible to simulate the occurrence of faults in lines and feeders and the consequent operation of the protection elements and the opening of the respective circuit breaker.
The application provides for the interlocking of all substation disconnectors due to circuit breaker closure or protection transfer.
The application provides the user with basic notions about operational procedures for recovery in cases of failure or blackout.
The application has an information and instruction feature, through which the user, when carrying out command maneuvers, can access the “INFOR” button and check the equipment information or interlocking, blocking, fault or automation scheme, as well as check the command and operation instructions necessary for the maneuver.
It is an application for simulating Substation functionalities, whose initial objective is to provide the basic notions of the functionalities of the equipment and schemes of a substation, as well as disseminate its various operational procedures, depending on the version available to the user. This application aims to provide maximum coverage of the various systems and resources related to the Substation, Transmission Line, Distribution and Energy Generation that currently exist, through constant updating, and the availability of versions that will include projects and user suggestions.
Finally, this application has a conventional supervisory aspect of a Substation, and can be suitable for the various existing systems, as needed, and can include Simulations of a Power Generation Plant, Industrial Plant or Building Systems. It is a promising and efficient didactic learning and assistance system for professionals in the electrical and industrial sector, in addition to helping to prevent defects or failures in systems and equipment, caused by defects or errors in operational procedures.
