Suffolk Sound Radio Description
Suffolk Sound went on air July 2023 and is firmly embedded into the community with Suffolk at the very heart of everything we do!
A not for profit organisaton, at Suffolk Sound we are driven by engagement across the community we serve with a fantastic line up of presenters who are passionate about where they live. Our rosta of presenters include some very familiar voices from regional BBC radio stations and beyond.
Part of our ethos is to give a voice and platform to support local charities and organisations. To date we have run successful campaigns and supported, St Elizabeths Hospice, Brave Futures and Cancer Support in Suffolk and are the official media partner for Operation Santa Appeal. You'll see us out and about across the county at some of the regions biggest events including Ipswich Firework Display, Ipswich Music Day, Lowestofts First Light Festival, Felixstowe Carnival and the Orwell Challenge.
We broadcast online, on your mobile devices and on your smart speaker 24 hours a day with a mix of shows and a broad music library from the 70’s to the early 2000’s. In the evenings you’ll hear more specialist shows from rock to soul and jazz.. We like to think that whenever you tune in, you’ll hear a favourite song from the last 4 decades of hit music!
If you remember radio like it used to be... fun, exciting, engaging, local and entertaining, you'll want to be part of the Suffolk Sound family!
