Comments about Wi-Fi Manager for Wear OS Android Version
I bought the full version to be able to connect to WiFi networks which require you to sign-in (eg hotels) but it doesn't connect. Tried on multiple different networks. Besides if the network is has multiple devices each transmitting on a different channel the app shows each channel as a new network. This should be transparent to the end user, just like Android shows a single SSID even though it may be running on more then one channel. Did not like it.
The app locked my LG Watch Sport with Wear OS 2.0 (just released). I had to reboot to regain control. The app has a problem with listing multiple APs that share the same SSID; a standard practice in corporations (and schools; I have many "eduroam" APs listed, although I saved the credentials for one. The watch failed to connect to the one for which I provided the credentials. The lockup happened when I re-tried multiple times to connect. I also opened the "radar" screen for a moment; this could have been the reason for first very sluggish performance, and then complete lockup. The battery seems to be drained considerably when the app runs. The WiFi does not have such issues on my home network (when connected without WiFi Manager).
I finally managed to get this app working after some perseverance. It was worth it because now I can get onto wi-fi anywhere. I too had some of the issues re the continuous spinning circle, but after performing some of the recommended suggestions I managed to get it working. I also contacted the app support team, who responded promptly with helpful advice. Keep trying, it's worth it in the end.
