There has been zero communication from devs, and no updates (no login calendar for February, no updates on rotating event schedules, etc.) for weeks. This game is almost certainly canceled. DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY IF YOU ARE NEW!!! The game very likely won't be around long enough for anything to pay off. Besides that, this is a C-tier hero collector. The team synergies are weak and uninteresting, progress is glacially slow, and any upgrades you do invest in have shockingly low returns.

I enjoyed this game since launch. I'm a huge lord of the rings fan. But the problem is that the devs appear to have disappeared and abandonded the game for two months now. no communication or anything. I am not sure if the game is worth playing or not anymore which makes me sad. I would recommend avoiding the game if you are new until this gets fixed or confirmed dead.

Get in now and you'll be able to participate in all the cutting edge that comes out in the years to come rather than playing catch up down the road when all the new modes come. 6 months later edit: Unfortunately, it's still just really not that interesting to play and most of the playtime is artificially induced. Multiple progression systems introduced and characters, but not much to do other than farm stuff and min-max the same raid almost every day of the week. Good bones though, hopeful.
