This is what Mario Kart Tour should have been, and for a free game, it has some fluid gameplay. Many problems have been fixed in the current patch, but in all, there has been some questionable decisions that just can't be forgiven, like adjustments to premium cars with no compensation, so I can never give this game a 5 star, but it's still great.

Wish there was better support for controllers. Also wish it would let me turn off auto-acceleration when using a controller. I play with a gamesir x2, and it allows me to do so natively. But it doesn't tell you any of the controls, or let you map your own. Can't figure out how to get the start boost to work with a controller. Fun game though. - nice tracks - interesting power-ups - license courses to unlock more stuff is a nice touch - good amount of in game items for free - battlepass is fair

Very fun kart racing game. The monetization is totally fair and you get a decent amount as a free player. Feels good to play and polished, haven't come across any bugs or glitches yet. The only change I'd like to the controls is a virtual stick that moves with your thumb. Static buttons for controls can be easily lost when trying to navigate at fast speeds. Other than that, highly recommended so check it out! Crossplay with PC and it's supposed to come to consoles soon too!
