Karowin Pop Pop Math Description
Karowin Pop Pop Math is a math education game for children kindergarten through 5th grade. Children have the great ability to learn many things. This game gives children the opportunity to explore number patterns BEYOND the basics. It covers the following number patterns: prime, fibonacci, squares, triangle, and cubic number patterns. The game, also, covers multiples of 3, 5, 6 and 7.
What is Game Play like?
The game play begins with number balls moving around the screen. The player looks at numbers on the top of screen and taps the "matching" moving balls. Every 5th level, the numbers on top are hidden and the player needs to remember the number pattern. If the player struggles, they can always get a "hint" by tapping on the bird, Vertias. Also, there are in-game videos that show number patterns.
Can Children play game by themselves without help?
Our company knows that parents and teachers are busy. So, the gameplay is set so that a child can independently play the game without supervision. No reading is needed to play the game. The game has likeable characters-- Vertias the Cocktail, Lemma Zapper the Rooster, and Riaman the Evil Cat-- to help the student explore these number patterns in an engaging way.
Is the game free?
Yes! We are offering the game free with family-friendly ads to allow more families and teachers the ability to try this game out.
Why should children learn math patterns BEYOND the basics? Math patterns are like word phonics for reading. When a child learns a number pattern, their ability to recognize and do math problems increases. When a number pattern becomes second nature to a child, they are more likely to understand and like mathematics. Gaining math fluency is beneficial for short-term and long-term mathematics growth.
What is the value of Prime and Fibonacci Number patterns? Prime numbers are used in multiple ways in the student's education. Math that uses prime numbers are factor trees, lowest common denominator, composite numbers, and modern cryptography (computer science). All these, except for cryptography, are skills that the student will need in elementary or middle school.
The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. Fibonacci sequence shows up in golden ratio, population studies, nature, and artwork. It is even used in some trade market studies. Though the Fibonacci sequence is not likely to show up on elementary students' tests, the value of learning Fibonacci sequence goes beyond tests. Learning is about curiosity and expanding knowledge. It gives younger children an opportunity to foster their curiosity in mathematics and builds their math fluency.
