I've used the app now for a year. We use the map for off the water studying. The map is fantastic. Our home lake is purposefully being kept low and having the lake level adjustment is great! I don't use the app to try and control my trolling motor because that's what my foot pedal and remote are for. I don't use the app to update my graphs because it's much faster to download the updates to an SD card. We have found the app extremally helpful for finding places of interest to fish!
This app will not let you as a consumer, who has already purchased an older (Lakemaster Plus V2) card, to view your maps from that card on this app. Having off the water access to charts is a basic tool that would allow for a better user experience. This app requires you to pay a yearly subscription fee to view lakes in any form other than a basemap, but you can't transfer them to your graph. If you get a VX card, you still need to subscribe to view on app. They just want your $$$ Time to switch
Maps won't load. Spinning circle says preparing charts but they never open. Other parts of the app work. I am connected to WiFi and have the right software version on my phone to be compatible. I bought the VX chip for my graph and used the coupon for a free year of one boat network and it doesn't work... frustrating!
