Going into this story there was a very Markus Zusak feel to it but the longer you play, the more it takes its own unique shape. It has a way of making you connect with the Reaper, even if, like many others, it's not a perfect self-insert. In the end, you really do want to "succeed" and the success is largely your own interpretation. Not really one for light readers but one I definitely would recommend to those that are fans of the style of writing.

This was amazing! I was immediately hooked by the setup of the scene! There was such a wonderful amount of choices and I've gotten so many different endings with all the choices. It's an amazing take on death and the dying process. The Grim Reaper was a great character and you really feel the urgency of the situation at hand. Also the surprising romantic twist was amazing. I wouldn't mind another game like this! Maybe a sequel? ♡♡

And I thought Zombie Exodus was the peak of interactive text-based storytelling. Zombie Exodus is amazing, but this just blows it out of the water. I was on the edge of my seat as time was running out and it was nearing the end. I was genuinely thrilled. I've wrote this review immediately after my first run, and I'm already ready to jump back in. The only flaw I can find in this game, is that its a little slow at first and the pacing is a bit weird at times, but I highly recommend this to anybody who loves text-based adventures. Well worth the price tag.
