Everything was fine until the new update. The opening page is scaled poorly for my small phone (Android, Pixel 3). I could get over that, but it gets one star because the app just doesn't work: I click on a puzzle, the button flashes, and nothing happens. I can still play the puzzles using the links in the morning newsletter, but not via the app. I figured it was a bug that would soon be corrected, but weeks later, still nothing.

Worked great before, updated app has issues though. The way I traditionally used this app was to open it up in the morning, allow the days puzzle to load, and then play on the subway when I had no service. The app would always load several additional puzzles from the archive too, which was great if I solved the first one quickly. Now, if my phone isn't connected to internet, puzzles won't open at all. Wish I could go back to the old app!

New update has severely impaired functionality of the app. Puzzles take forever to load if service is weak or absent (a problem when a good portion of your customer base lives in NYC and takes the subway). Multitasking and returning to the app sends you back to the main page, forcing you to reload again instead of staying on the game you were working on. There is no option for downloading the games/puzzles while online for offline play. Frankly seems like the developers have never used the app.
