While the game does have merit, and is pretty enjoyable, there are glaring issues with the game. First of all, the paid pass is ludicrous. You get 10x the rewards on currency, which makes it very pay to win. Second, leaderboards feel random, and scores look straight up unobtainable at a lot of times. And third, the performance in certain areas is a joke. Most the game is fine, and I can get a good frame rate at high settings, but the daily duel, even at low settings is completely unplayable.

I really want to love this game. It's a lot of fun, and has a serious "one more play" hook. However, the difficulty curve is too high. I've upgraded my accessories until my fingers are sore, but often, the chance of winning a round comes down to sheer luck of getting matched with a low high score to compete against. There's no option to upgrade the power ups like the magnet or shield, and sometimes you can crash on an obstacle that you can't see in time to avoid. Also, it needs free run mode.

Pay to play. You're stuck behind a progress wall after getting 350-400 trophies. It's extremely difficult most times, and impossible the rest. I have perfect runs and still get 4th place. Costume upgrades mean more points per bubble but you don't receive enough coins to upgrade unless you buy the season pass which is $8 USD. Not to mention there isn't an unlimited run, so ur stuck playing 30+ 1min runs to get enough coins for a single upgrade. Horrible game. (Note: I grew up playing LBP1-3)
