Cyber City Description
Cyber games serve as an effective awareness tool by delivering educational content to target groups within an interactive and engaging framework, thereby enhancing the anticipated benefits and achieving desired outcomes in strengthening awareness of cybersecurity concepts and digital safety.
In the context of the "National Initiative for Digital Safety", the National Cyber Security Agency launches innovative cyber games aimed at delivering modern cyber awareness content to target segments through gameplay. Each game is designed to be tailored to the age and occupational characteristics of the target segment, thus maximising the initiative's expected impact and contributing to the development of a cybersecure and technologically empowered society.
Application Concept
• The game application is based on designing a multi-construction site for "Cybersecurity City", incorporating various icons relevant to the game environment (manual and electrical equipment / buildings under construction / technical devices / monitoring and control room / ...).
• The participant explores the construction site to complete various construction operations. During this journey, they encounter diverse cyber questions and must answer them to obtain assistance tools that enable them to perform required tasks, thereby earning coins and continuing gameplay.
• Upon reaching a specified number of coins and completing all required tasks in the first level, the participant advances to subsequent game levels (the game consists of 4 progressively challenging levels).
• When providing an incorrect answer to a puzzle, the participant does not receive assistance tools but is granted additional attempts to answer again and earn a reduced number of points.
Application Objectives
• Raise awareness of key cybersecurity principles, foundations, and digital safety rules applicable to participants' various daily activities.
• Deliver highly specialised cybersecurity information directly relevant to the expatriate workforce segment, specifically addressing their knowledge requirements in this domain.
• Provide participants with engaging entertainment through various progressively challenging questions.
• Familiarise participants with essential cybersecurity terminology through smooth cognitive mechanisms featuring engaging elements that motivate achievement and success.
• Deliver clear, simplified gameplay experiences based on direct question-and-answer formats, suitable for the educational and cultural characteristics of the expatriate workers segment.
Application Fundamentals
• Game Environment: A multi-construction site where the participant explores.
• Game Elements: Various icons within the construction site environment. When the participant stands on the icons, questions and puzzles appear which must be solved to obtain assistance tools for performing various tasks. These elements include: buildings under construction/ construction tools and equipment/ monitoring room/... .
• Game Puzzles: A collection of questions centred on various cybersecurity topics. Correct answers earn the participant assistance tools.
• Assistance Tools: A set of tools obtained through correct answers to cyber puzzles. These tools assist in performing required tasks, such as: specific tools/ access to task locations/ selection between task-related elements/ ... .
• Coins: Rewards collected by the participant upon completing required tasks. Upon reaching a specified number of coins within each level, the participant advances to the next game level.
