One of the best overall in challenging levels, hints, and rated game along with a few historic games to review--free! UPDATE -- I still think highly of the Fritz app, however now as I go on to play rated games the app continually freezes and locks up. I've tried the app on my other phones as well as reincerting the app and the same issue arises. It's not always the case but about 50% of the time.

Fritz is a powerful way to learn Chess,as it gradually builds your skills, all the way to Grandmaster. It's very valuable! since it notifies you, regarding your progress throughout the game + it let's you know about the Book moves. In retrospect, the history reports are excellent, and the many other features, makes Fritz my numero 1 Chess App...without any reservations...

Absolutely easy to use, good graphics, strong engine....BUT it keeps crashing after I start a game. It does it on any level, and it's a miracle I made it through a whole game. I uninstalled it. They've gotta fix this, cause it can be a great app
